Committee Manager, ISO 282 Occupational Health & Safety

In her role at the UK’s national standards body, Sally is responsible for working with both national and international experts to develop documents that help organizations of all types to improve the way they operate and better protect the people who work for them.

Sally engages with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure the widest possible views are taken into account whether developing national or international standards and frequently hosts public meetings and webinars to encourage standards’ users to raise issues and propose improvements.

Sally is manager of the ISO technical committee responsible for the world’s first international standard on occupational health and safety management, ISO 45001. She is part of the leadership team for ISO PAS 45005, guidelines on safe working during the COVID-19 pandemic, and ISO 45003 guidance on psychological health, safety and wellbeing at work.
